"This is for My Girlfriend, This is for My BFF.."

If you know me, then you know I love my girlfriends and they have a special place in my heart! Its crazy how much you need, rely and depend on them to be your "reality check" or ear to listen when you need reason. And recently I've discovered that the old-time and middle school crave of "friendship bracelets" are back in fashion. How AMAZING is that? I use to wear mine faithfully when I was younger and even in high school when me and my bestfriend got each other hello-kitty necklaces, I adored of our friendship even more. Don't you heart your girlfriends? I know I do *getting my friendship bracelets soon*! Instead of the "do-it-yourself" bracelets they have so many cute friendship bracelets that won't hurt your pockets, mess up that super cute outfit your wearing or even be too chunky to manage! SO, while your out shopping and buying new accessories for Fall why not give a little present to your favorite girlfriends because 'tis the season of giving! :)

Effortless Glamour Of The Day: Kerry Washington

The beautiful Kerry Washington looked every bit of glamorous in a very effortless way! How does she do it? She was spotted at the 2010-11 season opening night performance of 'Das Rheingold' at The Metropolitan Opera House on September 27, 2010 in New York City.

Gossip Girl Style: Serena Van Der Woodson

After last night's eye-opening, OMG'ing episode full of drama in full effect I could not gawking over my favorite style star Serena Van Der Woodsen rocking a Jenny Packham dress from their Fall 2010 collection paired with Raphael Young shoes.

The black and white print is offset by aquamarine crystals at the collar and midsection, and an oversize keyhole right in the middle.

Vashtie Kola as Air Jordan's 1st Female Designer

The New York-based creative visionary put a fresh twist on the classic Air Jordan 2.

This limited-edition shoe brings a lavender and deep-purple colorway to deliver a more feminine style. The details didn’t go overlooked either, with hints of silver integrated into the laces to complement the metallic midsole.

Keep an eye out for its release on October 2nd, and stay tuned over the next few weeks for an inside look at the Holiday 2010 Girls Collection.

Other than being Pharrell’s ex-girlfriend (they dated for 5 years) and styling/modeling for his Billionaire Boys Club clothing line, Kola wrote the treatment for Common’s “Testify” video, served as the Director of Creative Services for Island Def Jam, and directed Solange’s “T.O.N.Y.” video.

In 2008, after many years of deliberation, Kola finally launched her signature brand VIOLETTE.

Kudos to Vashtie! She's definitely a woman of inspiration.
Woman of Color Making Moves = MOTIVATION. Keep Pushing!

"We want to pay homage to the ladies who are rocking Jordan kicks on the daily, and we’ve teamed up with New York-based creative visionary Vashtie Kola to do just that. As an accomplished fashion designer, video director and artist, we knew Vashtie would have a fresh take on the classic Air Jordan 2. A constant trendsetter, Vashtie is one of the best at mixing contrasting styles and representing the fashion forward."

Milan Fashion Week S/S 2011: Dolce & Gabbana Gets Lacy

Milan Fashion Week is well underway and I've been glued to my laptop watching all the shows and the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 collection especially caught my eye because I adore lace. In my opinion, lace is timeless and can be worn almost every season (at least in my world)! Its by far the most "sexiest appeal" any woman can possess in her closet and TRUST me...lace will always be in demand ; )

Top 5 Fall Trends For MEN

Happy Monday and Happy Fall To All!

Its officially feeling more and more like Fall and I must say that I've neglected all the wonderful men that read and follow my blog. You know I heart you and appreciate you visiting Ms. Style and Grace daily :) Today I have a special treat for you ONLY...get your notebook out and be prepared for a brief "trend lesson" for this season.

According to GQ Magazine's Trend Report we have to look out for our staple pieces and necessities to survive this Fall! SO, Men are you ready to find out the Top 5 items you need in your closet? Lets GO!

1. The Three Piece Suit

This Fall it's all about looking sharp, feeling good and of course keeping the ladies gawking over your freshness. Spend those extra coins on a tailored three piece suit just because you never know what your future may hold! Think interviews, happy hours, dinner's with the boss and of course networking events. Don't forget this staple in your closet!
2. Biker Jackets

This Season the Ladies aren't the only ones getting edgy, biker jackets are back and here to stay until Winter comes and you need that pea coat (which is also a great trend). Instead of choosing the traditional leather jacket, why not spice it up and try something different? Shop around and try on a jacket that suits your needs and wants and be your own Rock Star!
3. Big Chunky Turtleneck

I'm the biggest fan of men in chunky over-sized turtlenecks and I don't know why! Its super sexy and a sure way to keep you warm through out the cooler mornings and evenings. You can pair your turtlenecks with khaki pants, trouser pants or even your "everyday" black pants you wear to work (No need to front, we all recycle our "work pants").

4. The Military Watch

Can you tell time? Are you always running late to an important business meeting? Well I've got the perfect idea for you....Get trendy with an military watch that will make you feel like "time is of the essence" and show up on time for once! There is nothing sexy or sophisticated about a man that can tell time and remember QUALITY or quantity ; )

5. Laced Up Boots

This by far is one of my favorite trends because it's new, exciting, and
a must have this season. I love the whole rugged trend mainly because you can make this your own style by rolling up your jeans and lacing your boots over it or wear them tucked in your khakis. A Very Fun Trend!

The "Turban Trend" is here to STAY!

Occasionally even the MOST fabulous and flawless women have bad hair days or least they have those days where their hair is frizzy, shiny, poofy or just a mess! No worries the hottest trend that has been working its way into my heart is the "Turban". I must say that this trend can be very fashionable if you wear it the right way. I can almost imagine wearing a Turban to run weekend errands, shopping spree's with your girlfriends, spending time at the beach while your getting bronzed up or even while sipping a cocktail during happy hour!

So while Fall is here to STAY and you find it difficult to curl/press your hair or even brush it (well I recommend you brush it) put on your Turban with some super sexy hoop earrings paired with your favorite pair of hip-hugging jeans & jersey t-shirt. Don't forget your wedges or stylish heels TOO...just because your "dressing down" in your Turban doesn't mean your style has to suffer!

Sarah Jessica Parker rocks a multi-cultured turban on the set of Sex and The City 2. Her one shoulder salmon dress pairs perfectly with her turban, even "Carrie" knows how to incorporate new trends into her everyday life!

Rihanna gets rock star happy in her spiked turban "headband"! How fun is her look? The fire engine hair, cool sunglasses and army fatigue jacket keeps this look wearable at any age!

Ashley Olsen knows her trends and she definitely knows how to rock this one. I adore this type of turban on her because it has an African print that pairs perfectly with her Au-natural makeup and minimal accessories.
Beyonce keeps it simple, chic, and sexy in her all black turban paired with over sized jewelry. While I gawk over her vintage look, this turban trend is definitely here to stay...

Will You Be Rocking Your Turban This Season?
