FLOTUS FAB: Mrs. Michelle Obama's Goddess Look at The White House Correspondents Dinner + POTUS Speech (VIDEO)

Washington, D.C. was star studded as the "Nerd Prom" also known as The White House Correspondents Dinner took place over the weekend and of course the fabulous first couple Mr. & Mrs. Obama were the guest of honor! The room was filled with media and celebrities but of course, the "fashion star" of the night was Mrs. Michelle Obama.

FLOTUS shut it down in a very fabulous look, while still sporting her so ever famous bangs for the special occasion. She wore a all black beaded, draped chiffon goddess gown equipped with beautiful lace details by designer Monique Lhuillier. She also accessorized this look with black chandelier earrings while sporting a fresh face. When I think of Style and Grace, I certainly think of FLOTUS.

How stunning?! Looks like Michelle had a great time!

FASHION NEWS: Diane von Furstenberg Designs for GapKids AGAIN!

Diane von Furstenberg collaborates with GapKids for the second time and I must say I'm totally loving the collection so far! The line is designed for girls only, newborn to age 14 is set to hit Gap hit stores and online tomorrow, April 25th. According to DVF herself, the inspiration behind the collection was African-inspired prints and safari themes. How adorable is this blue and white romper (seen above)? I'm smitten kitten! Check out a few images of the collection, courtesy of WWD below:

“My idea was to make the little girls look like explorers,” said von Furstenberg.
Where did her pattens come from? “You had to go down to the roots. One of the patterns from my archives is from a collection called Under the Volcano. I also added a few new prints and adorable printed jeans that I wish I had,” says von Furstenberg.
How long do you have to get this adorable collection? “It’s a limited engagement. People have to rush and go get it,” says von Furstenberg.

Over the weekend I attended the Broccoli City Festival in celebration of Earth Day at the Half Fairgrounds in South East DC with a few friends. Homies sweatshirt by Brian Lichtenberg
Distressed denim from H&M
Isabel Marant sneaker wedges (my latest obsession!)

Before the Broccoli Fest I went to brunch with my besties and wore my comfortable Steve Madden platform heels for the occassion before slipping into my Isabel Marant! What a great way to end my weekend, can't wait to get finals over and done with this week. Have an awesome week people!!
