Fashion Republik

 As an up-and-coming designer, I am always supportive of other new designers who have decided to embark on the journey of following their passion. I love buying items from artisans designers for numerous reasons, the main being because of the exclusivity. Most items designed are one-of-a-kind, unique, made just for you and not to mentioned are limited edition (once the designer sells out that's it!). So when I discovered the website, Fashion Republik, I fell immediately in LOVE!

To many, the Middle East is known for being a war stricken country, however many fail to realize that they have numerous talented designers. Fashion Republik was established in 2008, with a mission to "encourage and promote on an international level the fine works of Arab designers... the site features a unique and exclusive selection of garments, apparel and accessories designed and produced by talents from all over the Arab world." The online portal gives Arab designers a home site to feature their works internationally where patrons can view and purchase their designs. It also serves as an educational point where many in the Arab world can find out about what's going on in the fashion world internationally and vice versa. Currently there are over 30 extremely talented designers works featured where you can find a wide variety of items such as dresses, hair bling, purses, shoes, hats, beach accessories and more. Some items are already made, others are made upon ordering. The prices are considerably reasonable with many items priced under $150.  So if your looking for a new site with many great finds Fashion Republik is definitely it!
