We are officially 1 week away from Fashion's Night Out! Join me as well as other Fashingtonians from 6-11pm, September 6th in DC's fashion playground for a monumental evening of style and entertainment. • Pre-FNO Clothing Drive – Clean out your closet and make way for fall and your FNO purchases! On the two weekends before Sept. 6th, BrightestYoungThings and Goodwill DC are holding a clothing drive with drop-off locations at FLOR (1037 33rd St, NW), Hitched (1523 Wisconsin Ave, NW), CUSP (3030 M St, NW), and Duo (1624 Wisconsin Ave, NW).
• Everyone's a Star – On FNO Georgetown, everyone's a star! Walk the red carpet, strike a pose and get your picture taken at four FNO Georgetown red carpet locations - Cady's Alley (between 33rd and 34th on M St), 30th & M Street (SunTrust Bank), Wisconsin & M Street (Banana Republic) and at the Dean & DeLuca/ BrightestYoungThings Lounge on M Street. Red carpets designed by FLOR! First 350 to strike a pose at one of the four red carpet locations gets a free FNO surprise gift.
• vitaminwater zero Pop-Up Disco – Get your groove on at the outdoor vitaminwater zero Pop-Up Disco outdoor dance floor with rotating DJ sets by Fatback at the PNC Bank lot (M & Wisconsin Ave.). In between fashion events, take a break, let your hair down, and chill or shake your booty.

Fashion's Night Out: Georgetown RECAP!

It's been ages since I've done a event RECAP (I must admit I've been slipping on my posting) NO worries, I'm back in full attack! Anyways, on Friday September 10, 2010 the streets of Georgetown was poppin I mean literally jam-packed with Fashion Lovers from the DC, MD, VA area. I was very excited to meet and greet all the Fashion Lovers for a momentous occasion, I mean it was a PERFECT way to spend my Friday evening! From 6-11pm over 80 stores, restaurants and diners opened their stores to Fashion Lovers....there were many giveaways, Entertainment, Music, Food, Drinks and Mingling amongst the Shoppers! I can't wait til next year although I think I may be in NYC, but I will be sure to keep you posted on everything!

I can't even describe how STAR STRUCK I'am just looking at these pictures! I SO wish that I was NYC for the Show amongst other fabulous things happening this week (ie...Fashion Week). Georgetown, DC joins the likes of other renowned fashion destinations such as New York, London and Rodeo Drive in participating as an official regional host of Fashion’s Night Out on September 10, 2010. Join us for an epic evening in DC’s most fashionable neighborhood as over 60 Georgetown stores, restaurants, and salons open for extended hours and host an exciting evening of spectacular, splurge-inspiring fashion events and promotions.

Shop for a cause - purchase a signature Georgetown DC eco-friendly tote bag for $10 during Fashion’s Night Out from participating stores, and 100% of proceeds benefit Labels for Love. Labels for Love is committed to raising funds and awareness for women's and children's organizations in the Washington, DC Capital Region as well as national and international areas in need.

Cirque du Soleil’s OVO is in town - George-town! ~ Cirque du Soleil’s OVO show Bug Dance Squad, a colorful group of costumed performers, will be buzzing around the streets of Georgetown during DC’s Fashion Night Out. The Bug Dance Squad will be teaching and performing the OVO Bug Dance to the crowds throughout the night, as well as spreading information and generating excitement for OVO. One of the biggest and most exciting global fashion events to ever come to DC! Georgetown’s FNO will bring together over 50 stores, restaurants, salons and spas for an exciting evening full of spectacular fashion events, special discounts, promotions and extended shopping hours.
