5th Annual "Project Impact" Toy & Clothing Drive

 

WHO: Kimesha Nicole, Kimberly Rene, The Fellaz Youth Foundation, and Mindstream Radio

WHAT: We will be hosting our 5th annual toy drive under our community service initiative program "Project Impact." We are asking that patrons donate an unwrapped toy for a child or an article of clothing this holiday season (2-17 age range). Donations will be given to children from the S.O.M.E (So Others Might Eat) Organization.  

So Others Might Eat is the only interfaith, community-based organization in the District of Columbia that offers a comprehensive, holistic approach to caring for the homeless and extremely poor citizens of our city.

Based on research by the American Cancer Society, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every three minutes, and one woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes in the U.S. We all know or know of someone that has been affected by this horrible disease. This is not just a month's cause. EVERY day counts! Please join celebrity trainer Deanna Jefferson as she partners with Big Play Sports Grill for the three-part series, "Forever Pink" to raise money for the Susan G. Komen foundation. Susan G. Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure® supports life-saving research, education, screenings and treatment programs in the fight to end breast cancer forever.

 

 

The goal is to not only raise $5,000 for the foundation but to also bring awareness into community while uplifting its victims and bringing forth the empowerment of breast cancer survivors.
