WHAT I WORE: Sunday in the City

 

So, last weekend was quite the spiral (a good spiral) and I must say I'm glad I had Monday off to just relax (well sorta..lol). From my nephew/god son's graduation from pre-school to a bridal shower to a graduation cookout and running errands I had a pretty eventful weekend. Sunday I actually found some time to brunch with my bestfriend in DC, the weather is still a bit tricky so I decided to put my leather shorts to use before I pack them away in my Fall/Winter pile. Do you like?

 

 

I bought them a few years ago and wore them for Mardi Gras like 2 years ago, and being that I need to do a closet purge I found them while searching for something else in my closet lol. Anyway, I love them and got a lot of compliments on them! Unfortunately, I have a brain freeze as to where I got them from, so sorry guys but I'm sure you can snag you some leather shorts from Zara (I saw a cute pair in there). Since, Spring/Summer is here I guess it's time for Denim and Bermuda shorts!

WHAT I WORE: Sunday Bests

 

It was beyond beautiful last weekend and I had the opportunity to spend most of my weekend outdoors enjoying the weather that I miss right now (it's pouring outside!). My Saturday was filled with shopping, lunching with my bestfriend and attending my first day party of Spring/Summer. When it came time for Sunday, I made my way to church as it had been wayyy to long since my last visit and then I hung out with my two best friends for brunch and some rooftop fun in the city. Honestly, I had the best Sunday ever and I look forward for even more days like that...

WHAT I WORE: Casual Sundays

Sundays is my favorite day of the week, why?! Because I get the chance to regroup, relax, kickback and recap my entire weekend and plan for upcoming week. I can take time to just be and not worry about what event I have to attend. I usually go to church then do brunch with family/friends and watch television. It's something about Sundays that makes me feel good, and this Sunday was no exception. After a very busy weekend of running around from event to event, party to gathering and celebrating I got the chance to enjoy a champagne brunch at Ardeo Bardeo Restaurant with my bestfriend. They have an amazing brunch special which includes bottomless mimosas and the choice of an appetizer and main course for only $27, isn't that a total steal?! Anyway I had a watermelon & cucumber gazpacho for my appetizer and chicken & waffles with a unique spin on it. Everything was delicious, especially the "waffles" also known as donuts and the sausage gravy. Total swoon mode!  

September 22nd officially stamped Fall's arrival but I'm still trying to wear my strappy sandals for as long as I can plus I love my toe nail polish, lol. Anyway, I'm a lover of comfort these days so I slipped into something very casual for a very chill Sunday in the city. Get deets on my look below.

Super excited about my new bag from the Phillip Lim for Target collection, I got the chance to get a few pieces last week and few things this week. WHAT I WORE: Girlfriends Who Like To Brunch

Last Sunday a few of my girlfriends and I got together for Sunday Brunch at Founding Farmers in Washington, DC. If you know me, then you know I love to Brunch for hours on end because Sundays are just perfect for a kickback to recap the weekend and plan for the week ahead. How you spend your Sundays can set your tone for the week without a doubt. I must say that after an amazing Church service and brunchin' with my girlfriends that I've known for over 10 years my week has been off to a great start. Being able to laugh out loud, talk about relationships, goals and even talk about our favorite shows is good for the soul of any Twenty-Something woman trying to figure it all out.

WHAT I WORE: Denim Sundays

 

Had a jam packed weekend of events and it seems like my social calendar is about to get a little crazy but, what else is new lol! I find myself always on the move but this Sunday I got the chance to relax go to brunch with a friend and hang with my family at baby shower. It was soooo beautiful this weekend so I took advantage of a nice day and had a impromptu photo-shoot outside. I'm obsessed with denim anything these days, so it's pretty safe to say these are my favorite jeans and top lol. I'm all about comfort these days, it's always nice to dress down when you dress up all the time.
