SUMMER STYLE SERIES: Denim In The City ||

This is a very bitter sweet post because it is the last post from my Summer Style Series but you know I had to save the best for the last. So here is my Denim In The City look that I absolutely love and adore. I always say that the 70s have a special place in my heart so you know I have a few bell bottom/wide-leg denim jeans in my closet so I pulled out my ol' faithful and paired it with one of my favorite denim shirt. Denim is such a huge staple in my life and it's been a trend staple for many seasons, I'm happy to see that it will continue into Fall/Winter. Denim goes with EVERYTHING, I truly mean that and I love how men/women wear it. Denim can be worn in so many ways, I just gave it more of a 70s flare because it's a popular trend you'll see in the Fall and look you can see me wearing. I can't believe Fall begins next week and Summer is over :( With every ending there is a new beginning, so I'm very excited for Fall...especially since I'll be doing a bit of traveling very soon. Anyway, check out a few photos from my last SUMMER STYLE SERIES 2015.

WHAT I WORE: Denim shirt by H&M/ Wide Legged denim jeans from Nordstrom (old)/ Fringe sandals/Vintage Sunnies/

I hope you enjoyed my Summer Style Series, since I started it at the beginning of summer I've received great feedback so I will do a Fall Style Series as well!! I hope everyone enjoyed Summer 2015 (it's been one for the books), I'm looking forward to Fall 2015 that's for sure. Per usual my to-do list is a mile long so I'll be back to blogging very soon....but in the mean time between time enjoy the last few days of Summer, I know I will :)

TRENDSETTING THURSDAY: Are You Ready for Fall?

Happy New York Fashion Week or shall I say Happy Fashion Month! Today marks the first day of New York Fashion Week in addition to a month long of fashion weeks held around the world. Although most designers collection will focus on the Spring/Summer 2016, I couldn't neglect the fact that Fall/Autumn is less than 2 weeks away and we have yet to discuss the popular trends that you will see. Without further delay, let's get into it and the best direction is take a look at the Farfetch AW15 Accessories Guide. Never heard of Farfetch before?  Farfetch's AW Accessories Guide is right on time as Fall is approaching and they get to the nuts and bolts of "what's in" this season and they couldn't be more on target. Let's talk graphics, well black + white to be exact. I love the idea of keeping it pretty black + white but making a statement at the same time because that's what Graphic Mod is all about. We will play with designs, prints and material but the simplicity of black + white makes every outfit very chic and retro in way. When Mod shows up to a party they are the "It Girl" who isn't afraid of being innovative and being bold regardless of what's happening around them. They are the influencers of generations to come. Graphic Mod has a twist that I adore and love, can't wait to see how this trend plays out.

I think my favorite trend this season will be the Seventies In The City, not sure why I'm so in love with it but it definitely is a testament to who I am fashion wise. I like loose fitting tops/blouses tucked in a pair of wide-leg denim jeans/pants with wedges or stacked up heels. I think in my past life I was this 70s girl who loved the disco and could wear her hair as big as I wanted. I have this very strange yet beautiful connection with 70s fashion that I can't shake, so I can't wait to rock these trends this season. It's a trend that keeps coming back, that I don't think I'll ever get tired of lol. The oversized glasses and fringe worthy accents is almost too perfect and the intricate patchwork and suede material make me swoon. Are you in love yet with the Seventies? Because I'm Fallin' already.

We can't forget about the Sleek Utility trend that has been showing up for a few seasons now in a very delicate way. Not only is this trend more structured but it also has a very unique attention to detail to that I adore. I think this is a trend that we can all incorporate into our wardrobe, the minimalistic approach to our shoes and bags can really bring together our outfit. I'm a fan of sleek utility and it's hard-wear approach :)

Our next trend that I've been seeing all over the blogs is the obsession with fur or shall I say Frou. Since I consider myself a Budgetista when it comes to wearing real fur, I prefer to rock faux fur for the time being (no shade to my fur lovers---I just can't fade the prices for the real McCoy). I've seen a few designers and celebrities rocking this trend over the summer and I was confused yet intrigued, we always wear fur stoles around our jackets/coats or accent it with your purse but now it's making a bolder approach with your heels and completely making it your statement piece. The rule this season is the more fur the better, and in my world the more faux fur the better---so don't be afraid to rock your faux/real fur boldly and proudly. A lot of your favorite designers will be incorporating this trend into their collection this season.

Last but certainly not least is The Provocateur trend that will help you walk the wild side of fashion with the right help. When you think of Provocateur you can think of a million things but the truth of the matter is that this can be the right amount of sexy you need to spice up that super classic/everyday look. I'm a supporter of this trend WHEN and only when it's DONE RIGHT. The thigh-high boots and alluring patterns are enough to ring the alarm *in my BeyoncĂ© voice* so I would say that we should wear this trend with caution. Being a very popular trend it can definitely add that flare in your wardrobe that you've always wanted or needed...for the right occasion of course lol. Most importantly, have fun with this trend because after all that's what fashion is all about.

A very special thank you to Farfetch for sharing these top trends for Fall with me. You can shop these trends now! Check out www.farfetch.com, I promise you won't be disappointed! Did I mention they have a to-die-for sale? Thank me later :)

TRENDSPOTTING TUESDAY: Distressed Denim

One of my favorite trends this season is the distressed denim, it's a trend that seems to have no limits or boundaries! The 90s grunge is here to stay and I must say that the 90s were the best times ever. I'm super obsessed with denim on denim right now and I have an attachment to jeans that fit me perfectly so after a few (more like a million) wears, it gets some rips and tears to it and voila they are distressed without even trying. From boyfriend/skinny jeans to short shorts and even skirts, this distressed denim look is becoming a staple in everyone's closet! What's not to love?! See how some of my favorites are embracing the distressed denim look below.

TRENDSPOTTING TUESDAY: Reversible Denim Jeans!

Any denim fans out there?! Well the trend of denim-on-denim is far from over, yes you heard it here first so keep those denim shirts in the closet and bring out those denim jeans as well. A far more trendy and economical trend is underway and I'll be the first to tell you that I'm in love with it. The reversible denim jeans are here for the Fall/Winter.

I first spotted this trend over the summer in Target and was blown away that I could get double the usage out of my jeans so when I went to LA last week and found myself in the Kardashian's store Dash on Melrose and I gravitated to the Bleulab Reversible Collection! I tried on two pairs of the denim jeans but just wasn't willing to pay $200 for a pair at the moment, maybe next month. Jean shopping is exhausting, I hate trying on clothes...but when it comes to jeans I put my pride aside and go to the dressing room. I'll try to go shopping for the perfect skinny reversible denim this weekend, stay tuned lol! Meanwhile, check out a few celebrities embracing the reversible denim trend below:

TRENDSPOTTING: Happy 40th Anniversary Timberland!

Lately, it seems like everyone is embracing the very comfortable and traditional boot also known as Timberlands. A few weeks ago Timberland celebrated their 40th Anniversary of the infamous boot being spotted on everyone everywhere, do you remember when you got your first pair of Timberlands better known as "Timbs/Buttas"?? I remember getting my first pair in middle school and using an eraser to get rid of the scuff marks (I didn't value shoes back then) before my mom saw the damage I did to my shoes. I loved how durable and comfortable they were, and it seems like Timberland has made a fashionable comeback that I'm willing to incorporate back into my life. Check out my favorite celebrities rocking their Timberland boots below:

Khloe Kardashian Odom rocked hers with shorts and splash of plaid! Trendy yet classic.

Kanye wears his ALL the time...doesn't matter the season!

Jay Z has been spotted in many occasions in his timberlands, I really like the camouflage with them.

Rihanna is also a lover of comfort, she's been spotted wearing hers all over the world. Don't you love the denim-on-denim trend paired with the boots?! Tom boy chic.

Momager Kris Jenner rocked hers with a button collared shirt and distressed denim while walking the streets with her grandkids Mason & Penelope! Mama Jenner is so fly :)

Lord Disick kept it very casual in all black! He always gets it right.

British Pop Star, Rita Ora paired her boots with a dress which I'm not totally smitten over but definitely inspired.

I'm getting my pair this week and I can't wait to rock them! Happy 40th Anniversary Timberland!
