Lauren Conrad Set to Launch Eco-Friendly Collection for BlueAvocado

Designer, author, and celebrity Lauren Conrad becomes an investor in women-founded BlueAvocado, a sustainable lifestyle products company on a mission to inspire millions to reduce their ecological footprint with "cool products for a hot planet." The collection is set to launch in Summer 2012, Lauren Conrad will design an eco-collection for BlueAvocado, which will include stylish prints and new products that expand the company's food-on-the-go product portfolio to include home storage, travel and cosmetic accessories."For me, the BlueAvocado partnership represents a synergy of things I love to do - design great products, enable women to realize their dreams, and inspire thoughtful action," said Lauren Conrad. Every time I think of MTV's reality show "The Hills" I instantly think of me and my girls in college! We use to sit down in front of television, talking, laughing and just enjoying the true meaning of friendship...but with college over and grad school taking over my life I've been reading more and more. Star of the hit reality series Lauren Conrad has been a successful author and fashion designer since "The Hills" ended. I just began reading her book on style and I must say that, this girl KNOWS what she's talking about. Since I have a few weeks before classes start I will catch up on this fashionable read.
