FASHION BREAKING NEWS: BALMAIN X H&M Collection!

Sunday got so much sweeter when word dropped last night, that the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing would be collaborating with H&M for an exclusive collection! His model friends Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn wore gave us a little preview (see below) of what's to come. Do you like? I'M SWOONING, GAGGING AND SAVING MY COINS lol!  

 

 The collection will hit the stores November 5, and will feature clothing and accessories for both women and men. The question is, Are you #HMBalmaination or nah?!          

Spending Everything on Alexander Wang |

So I finally got the chance to go to H&M and get the Alexander Wang collection. Although the collection debuted Friday eve, the line was down the block with fashion lovers that couldn't wait to get their hands on this exclusive designer collection. I couldn't miss out on this opportunity so I was right in line with them, I mean seriously it's ALEXANDER WANG! *swoon* 

I waited in line wearing a bright pink wristband marked with a specific time slot to shop. After 1.5 hours in line I along with 9 other eager shoppers was escorted upstairs where we then had 20 minutes to shop the collection! I was super excited that I was able to snag two pieces from this collection (fist pump). Since I'm on this shopping budget/planning my holiday party, I decided only to get the items that I absolutely needed. It was a successful shopping experience that I appreciated!

 

I'm super obsessed with the scuba inspired shirt, it's really comfortable and the quality is AMAZING!! Then, I tried on the sports bra which feels so good on, it makes me want to go back and buy a few more! Overall I was satisfied with how H&M handled the crowd, the presentation of the collection and my purchases of course. Kudos!  

Argh retail therapy came right on time, I've been having one of those weeks but this collection turned my frown upside down. Thank you Mr. Wang! I can't wait to wear my stuff. Did you grab anything?!Happy Shopping guys!!! 

The Kardashians Take Miami: DASH Store Opening Party

The Kardashians, Kim and Khloe (Oh yeah..and super cute little sister Kylie Jenner) made a very fashionable mark in Miami, FL yesterday as paparazzi swarmed them on Collins Avenue. Am I the only one in total swoonville at the Kim, Khloe and Kylie's outfits?! I'm obsessed, they look great. Check out a few pictures of the DASH Dolls before and at their Dash Opening Party.

 

Kim looked AMAZING (what a great view right? lol) in a Kardashian Kollection cropped turtleneck, Vintage Alaia dress and her signature Alaia heels. I love the layered look and the neutral colors is definitely a trend that I love on her.    

 

Khloe looked just as amaze in her neutral one piece and heels to match.

Meanwhile on the beach, Kourtney and Scott spent some couple time together. Can we talk about Scott's loafers for a moment? #LordDisick

 

Kim stole the spotlight in this matching cropped silver metal top and skirt at the official DASH Opening Party annnnd of course she nailed it! The shoes also gave her outfit a nice touch as well, are you a fan? She had my favorite look of the night. The DASH Store has moved to Collins Ave in case you were wondering....I can't wait to visit the new location (Missing Miami something serious!).    

 

The gang reunited on the carpet right before entering their party, the Kardashian gals does it again! Can't knock their hustle, Kongrats to the DASH Dolls!

STEAL OF THE DAY: Forever 21 Premium Beauty Collection

 

Looking for a few essential beauty products that won't break your pockets? Well the ol' faithful Forever21 has a collection worth taking a look at. The Premium Beauty Collection is complete with all the bare essentials that us ladies need to look our very best without having to spend $100's of dollars. The collection  is complete with 23 products and 72 styles with a very reasonable price range of $4.80 – $14.80 available online and a Forever21 store near you! I'll definitely be stopping by... 

TopShop is Coming to Washington, DC....well close to it!

Move over H&M and Zara there is a new British store in town by the name of TOPSHOP/TOPMAN and dare I say that I'm excited! I discovered TopShop a few years ago and got my opportunity to visit the actual store in New York and instantly fell in love. Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Ashley Madekwe, Rita Ora, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez are just a few of the long list of celebrities and stylista's that love the brand. TopShop will open its first Washington area store in Springfield Town Center (located in Northern Virginia) this fall, according to The Washington Post. I also hear that the store will be 5,000-square-foot in size and although the town center has be under renovations we should see TOPSHOP in light come Fall 2014. I'll keep you posted on details of the grand opening as more information pours in but in the mean time between time, GET EXCITED we have a new British lover coming to town! P.S. Guys- TOPMAN has some amazing stuff for you too!

TRENDSPOTTING TUESDAY: Reversible Denim Jeans!

Any denim fans out there?! Well the trend of denim-on-denim is far from over, yes you heard it here first so keep those denim shirts in the closet and bring out those denim jeans as well. A far more trendy and economical trend is underway and I'll be the first to tell you that I'm in love with it. The reversible denim jeans are here for the Fall/Winter.

I first spotted this trend over the summer in Target and was blown away that I could get double the usage out of my jeans so when I went to LA last week and found myself in the Kardashian's store Dash on Melrose and I gravitated to the Bleulab Reversible Collection! I tried on two pairs of the denim jeans but just wasn't willing to pay $200 for a pair at the moment, maybe next month. Jean shopping is exhausting, I hate trying on clothes...but when it comes to jeans I put my pride aside and go to the dressing room. I'll try to go shopping for the perfect skinny reversible denim this weekend, stay tuned lol! Meanwhile, check out a few celebrities embracing the reversible denim trend below:

PICASSO BABY: Jay-Z + Barney's NY for Holiday Collection

 

 

Jay-Z also known as Shawn Carter is showing no signs of slowing down as recently partnered with Barney's New York for his own "A New York Holiday". The collection is said to include a range of top fashion designers and "influential indie brands to fashion a collection of limited-edition holiday products", says WWD. Interested in the brands that will be featured in this collection? Well Barney's NY has tapped Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens and Moncler. The New York store will be called BNY SCC Gallery (Barneys New York and Shawn Corey Carter).

Items from the collection will go on sale Nov. 20, 2013- Jan. 3, 2014 at the Barneys flagships in New York, Beverly Hills, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago. If you don't live in those cities, no worries barneys.com has you covered. The best part about this collection is that 25% percent of all sales from the project will go toward the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. Rihanna has been working overtime with her latest collaboration with the River Island Fall 2013 campaign lately! The shoot was photographed by Lachlan Bailey & styled by Mel Ottenberg. Inspiration? The collection is said to be inspired by "street style with bold strips, camouflage prints, varsity shirts and jackets" according to BID. I visited The Webster for the first time this year, and I loved every bit of my expeireince from the champagne to trying on some Tom Ford sandals that were sadly too small for me.
