CHIC OF THE WEEK: Beyonce, Lupita Nyong'o, J.Lo & More!

I'm still on a fashion high from last week's Met Gala among other celebrations. I'm itching for a vacay so I've been in planning mode so please do excuse the delay of posts this week. Anyway, some of my favorite celebrities have been looking AMAZING this week so I wanted to share with you all my top picks of the week, see below:

Kerry Washington Brings The Scandal to Glamour Magazine, October 2013

 

 

Hello, Kerry Washington!! Any Scandal fans out there? As the 3rd Season of the Hit ABC show is less than a month away the star also known as Olivia Pope graces the cover of fashion magazine, Glamour for their October Issue. Newly married, Mrs. Kerry Washington looks refreshingly beautiful as she is bright face and glowing in a Dior dress. In the magazine, which hits the stands next week Kerry dishes on life advice, beauty, fashion and of course SCANDAL! See more pictures from her spread below:

Kerry Washington Gets Glammed Up For VOGUE Italia

Nicole Richie Talks Hair & Jokes About Rap Career To Glamour Magazine, June 2012

 Nicole Richie shared all her fabulous hair secrets and styles that work for her. She told Glamour that “I would be a hairstylist. I actually like to go to the salon and blow out people’s hair...I have naturally curly hair, so ‘natural’ beach waves are not so natural for me. I like to braid my hair at night and then let it out the next day. And I also curl my hair with a flatiron. I actually think I’m the best hairstylist on the planet.” Nicole Richie has some fabulous hair and I love her blonde tresses, really works with her skin complexion.

Nicole also joked with Glamour Magazine about her rap career saying, “Just wait and see. I’m the best!”, after reportedly tweeting "My rap career is on the rise." HA! Glitz & Glam:12th Annual Art For Life Benefit

The 12th Annual Art for Life Benefit took place on July 30, 2011 at a beautiful Private Residence in East Hampton, New York. The Art for Life Benefit was founded in 1995. The Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as well as providing exhibition opportunities to under-represented artists and artists of color. Rush Philanthropic fulfills its mission through three core programs: grants, exhibitions and mentoring. See all the Glitz & Glam that took place over the weekend below: 

TREND ALERT: The 'White Suit'

Lately, it seems like every celebrity is pulling out their favorite white suit to rock on the red carpet!  Vanessa Hudgens (far left) wore a Mimi Plange version, while Rihanna (center left) broke up her monochromatic Max Azria look with a flirtatious white shirt. Camilla Belle (center) dressed up her Tom Ford suit with a silky black scarf and black Sergio Rossi pumps, Halle Berry (center right) went casual in a slouchy Roberto Cavalli number and an embellished tee, and Mila Kunis (right) wore a buttoned-up Boca Negro look with a loose down ‘do and an embellished clutch.

P.S.- I'm currently looking for my white suit! Hopefully, I'll find it soon ; )

Top 3 Essential Rules When Wearing White

1. Stick with nude skivvies. The only way to guarantee you don't suffer from any embarrassing cases of overexposure when you wear white is to go with nude undergarments, whatever shade "nude" may be for you. (In a serious pinch, a red bra will work for fair-skinned gals, while darker-skinned women find purple just perfect). The biggest mistake we see when women wear white pants? White undies! It's like a full-on bum X-ray, and that, my dears, is always a Don't.

2. Avoid red wine. And coffee, and red lipstick, and sitting on the grass. It may seem obvious, but we're always shocked at how many women we see at parties sipping on Mai Tais in pristine cotton dresses. White clothes make such an impact because of their impeccability; one bad stain can instantly take you from hot to hot mess.

3. Highlight your best feature. You know how black is really svelte-ifying and does a great job of hiding everything you don't want to draw attention to? White has the exact opposite effect, so choose to wear it on the body parts you love best. Wear white jeans to draw attention to a great derriere and miles-long legs; stick with a white V-neck top if you love your decolletage.
