SUMMER STYLE SERIES: Denim In The City ||

This is a very bitter sweet post because it is the last post from my Summer Style Series but you know I had to save the best for the last. So here is my Denim In The City look that I absolutely love and adore. I always say that the 70s have a special place in my heart so you know I have a few bell bottom/wide-leg denim jeans in my closet so I pulled out my ol' faithful and paired it with one of my favorite denim shirt. Denim is such a huge staple in my life and it's been a trend staple for many seasons, I'm happy to see that it will continue into Fall/Winter. Denim goes with EVERYTHING, I truly mean that and I love how men/women wear it. Denim can be worn in so many ways, I just gave it more of a 70s flare because it's a popular trend you'll see in the Fall and look you can see me wearing. I can't believe Fall begins next week and Summer is over :( With every ending there is a new beginning, so I'm very excited for Fall...especially since I'll be doing a bit of traveling very soon. Anyway, check out a few photos from my last SUMMER STYLE SERIES 2015.

WHAT I WORE: Denim shirt by H&M/ Wide Legged denim jeans from Nordstrom (old)/ Fringe sandals/Vintage Sunnies/

I hope you enjoyed my Summer Style Series, since I started it at the beginning of summer I've received great feedback so I will do a Fall Style Series as well!! I hope everyone enjoyed Summer 2015 (it's been one for the books), I'm looking forward to Fall 2015 that's for sure. Per usual my to-do list is a mile long so I'll be back to blogging very soon....but in the mean time between time enjoy the last few days of Summer, I know I will :)

SUMMER STYLE SERIES: Sequins in September ||

all images by: Laura Metzler Photography

Happy September! Can you believe it's almost Fall? I'm super excited for this month, especially with fashion week around the corner and a fun trip I have planned. With summer and all it's mood swings, I'm happy to bring to you the 5th outfit from my Summer Style Series entitled "Sequins in September". I'm a girly girl and my eye is always drawn to sparkly things especially this striped sequin dress and because I'm always on the move I paired it with my favorite sneakers. Living in the city has it's perks but it can do numbers on your heels so it's nice to have a pair of go-to sneakers for days like this. In addition, since Fall wants to be here sooooo bad (lol) I've started to bring out my jackets including my trusty jean jacket and added a few embellishments to it to make it fun and wearable. Check out the rest of my "Sequins in September" photo-shoot below:

WHAT I WORE: Psych Out Sheath dress by Trina Turk/ PORTUS Sneakers by ALDO SHOES/ Jean Jacket (similar found here/

I had so much fun doing this part of my Summer series, of course it was taken in Georgetown in this alley that captured the essence of what I was aiming for. The dress was super comfortable and definitely one that you should have in your closet. There is one more outfit left in my Summer Style Series that I can't wait to share. With that being said, I have a busy social calendar coming up and I plan to enjoy my labor day weekend with my friends so I'll be back next week! Stay tuned!

After almost shattering the internet last Friday with the release of the cover they also released Behind-The-Scene footage of the happy couple and super cute Nori on set. With just less than 2 months away from their wedding in Paris the couple looks to be living the dream right now! Check out a few pictures from their photo-shoot & BTS below:

SHOEGASM: Valentino "RockStud" T-Strap Pumps

My obsession with Valentino 'Rockstud' T-Strap Pumps is crazy right now! I've been prowling for Graduation shoes, I figure if I find a shoe then I'll find the dress. Crazy philosophy but it works for me, over the past year I've been lusting after a timeless shoe that is edgy and classic at the same time and I discovered the Valentino 'Rockstud' T-Strap Pump that makes me feel all tingly inside.

The pumps comes in plenty of colors (neon green, nude, pink, red, black, blue and white) and will be the perfect addition to my Spring wardrobe, don't you think? The T-Strap pump is a perfect trend to embrace this season so why not break them out at my graduation.

I love my Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Saint Laurent shoes but I think I'm ready for my first pair of Valentino heels. They just seem so grown up and sexy at the same time, who would not want that? The classic T-Strap has me swooning and I think these could go perfectly with boyfriend jeans and a tank or even a cocktail dress. Did I convince you that these are a winner?!

I still have time to decide but I'm definitely leaning towards these babies, for $945 I have some deciding to do! What do you think? Graduation shoes or no?!

COVER GIRL: Nia Long for Essence Magazine, April 2014

Does Nia Long just keep getting younger and younger, or is it just me? The 40 something and Fabulous Actress and Mother graces the cover of Essence Magazine looking all but of beautiful in a polka-dot jumper and skin that is perfection! Nia Long will be starring in an upcoming Tyler Perry movie entitled, "Single Moms Club" so she discusses this with the magazine, as well as how she maintains her sexy physique in the April 2014 issue. What a stunner, I can't wait to read this (I'm still trying to read my Vogue with Rihanna right now). Kudos to Nia Long, she constantly serves!

CAMPAIGN SWAG: Lady Gaga for Versace Spring/Summer 2014

If you've been seeing a lot of Versace lately on Lady Gaga, then I think we've solved the mystery. The pop star is the newest face for Versace's Spring/Summer 2014 collection and looking pretty darn good in the campaigns so far. The campaign is said to show how Lady Gaga embodies the "Versace essence: creative, experimental, fearless." I think that this is a perfect fit for Versace and can you believe how amazing Lady Gaga looks?! I'm obsessed with the Dontella Versace inspired blonde ambition hair it's decadence and glam all wrapped up in one. Werk it Lady Gaga!

“I am honored that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.” -Donatella Versace
