Oh hi.....Gabby Douglas! The Gold Medalist medalist is the cover girl for  Essence Magazine's  December 2012 issue. She is one of the 2012 Women of the Year along side FLOTUS, Michelle Obama and Good Morning America's Robin Roberts.

 

Congrats to Gabby, she is such a great role model!

HOTTIES OF THE HUMP DAY: America's Fab Five!

Last night, America's Fab Five – McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross, Alexandra Raisman, Gabrielle Douglas and Jordyn Wieber  kept everyone on their toes when they finished first place in the women's gymnastics team final at the Olympics! I got the chance to watch this play out and I must say that I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN, these girls made me so proud. USA is holding the most gold medals so far and I doubt they slow down. Congrats again to our Hotties of the Hump Day, they totally deserve the gold! ALSO, Congrats to Michael Phelps, he made HIStory yesterday! The 27-year-old Swimmer won his 18th and 19th medals, making him the most decorated Olympian in any sport. He took home the silver for the 200 butterfly and ended the night by winning gold in the 4x200 freestyle relay. #GOUSA

OLYMPIC GAMES FASHION: Stella McCartney's Gymnastics Leotard

FIRST LADY STYLE: Michele Obama London 2012 Olympic Games

The London 2012 Olympic Games kicked off last Friday and although I didn't watch the entire Opening Ceremony, I heard that First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama looked fabulous! We have such a fashion-forward FLOTUS and I love the fact that her style is so effortless and chic. Throughout the weekend she was spotted with former Olympians cheering on the games as well as finding time to smile. Get the skinny on FLOTUS's fabulous weekend style below:

The First Lady paid a necessary visit to the US Olympic team in east London, wearing a red peplum

Zara double cloth top and black trousers.

From there, FLOTUS moved on to the American Ambassador's Residence, Winfield House, where she hosted 'Let's Move London' joined by David Beckham. FLOTUS wores white pants paired with a two tone blue athletic top, piped blazer and sneakers.

FLOTUS attended a reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for the heads of state and governments prior to the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. 

 Our First Lady wore a "white viscose techno crepe tailored jacket with overlapped side panels and silver embroidery" from the J. Mendel 2013 Resort collection, previously available here, along with a J. Mendel ivory silk satin faced chiffon pleated skirt. Metallic heels and Azaara earrings, available here! How fab does she look?! J.Mendel is one of my favorite designers!

The First Lady attended swimming and tennis competitions at the London 2012 Olympic Games Saturday wearing a BCBGMAXAZRIA Elicia Color block Tank (available here) paired with black pants to attend the swimming competition.

She was then joined by former Olympians Summer Sanders, Venus Williams and Dominique Dawes and decided to put on a black and white polka-dot dress and jacket by Tracey Reese, available here.

"TEAM USA" For Vogue June 2012 Issue (FULL-SPREAD)

I absolutely loveeee this cover! I'm all for TEAM USA and the 2012 Olympics are right around the corner, so it's totally appropriate for Vogue Magazine to feature the best of the best. Although the magazine doesn't hit newsstands until May 22nd, Vogue released tons of images from their "Country Strong" photoshoot with Karlie Kloss and a few of America's Top Male Olympians as well as the  "Wonder Women" of the Olympics.
