RECAP: Urban Sweetheart Product Photo-Shoot

So much is happening (all good things) lately, I needed to take some time last weekend to myself to process it all. I'm so happy to announce that I styled my first product shoot for Urban Sweetheart two weeks ago and it was a major success. My high school friend is amazingly talented and with our creative energy we styled an amazing shoot together. Her boutique features women's sunglasses, purses, shoes, bags, accessories and clothing. The photo-shoot took place in Georgetown at this amazing studio (which I love), so without further delay check out the product shoot I styled for Urban Sweetheart below:

The 90s are back...I'm really back! Remember getting your ear pierced as a baby? No! Well, do you remember getting multiple ear piercings in middle school/high school? *raises hand* It seems like the Fashion Gods are leaning toward ear cuffs are the latest accessory to have for the Spring/Summer 2013 season. The hottest trend of the moment is the 'Ear cuff' according to Honestly WTF.

Ray-Ban Celebrates 75th Birthday With Launch of Aviators Collection

Happy 75th Birthday to Ray-Ban! In honor their milestone birthday, the brand has decided to launch a new line of aviators named the Ambermatic collection which draws it's inspiration from their 1930s militant roots. The Ray-Ban company was enlisted by the military in 1937 to design sunglasses for its pilots. The Ambermatic collection will channel the 1937 militant frames with vintage-inspired photochromic lens, which changes from light to dark. This collection will be available in stores early-June and will be priced at $219. Are you loving this collection?!  

SNEAK PEEK: Kim Kardashian's Belle Noel Jewelry Collection x Behind-The-Scenes

Kim Kardashian is a woman that wears many hat and seems to be 'obsessed with her Spring 2012 Belle Noel collection for Glamhouse Collection! Her favorite pieces include the wish bone necklace and the crystal star rings!! Kim said on her blog that the collection is "really unique, stylish and fun!" I bought some earring from the Belle Noel Fall 2011 collection and I must say that I adore those earrings...down to the quality and price tag. I've gotten so many compliments on them and definitely eyeing some of her fun and quirky pieces in the Spring 2012 collection especially the crystal rings that Khloe Kardashian Odom was spotted wearing (see below).

FASHION NEWS: Rachel Zoe Will Launch Jewelry & Cold Weather Accessories

Celebrity Stylist and Fashion Designer Rachel Zoe is adding a little more to her Fall 2012 collection. She is designing costume jewelry and cold weather accessories that will retail from $95 to $1,500. This collection will include hats, hoods, scarves, gloves, stoles, and wrist warmers in luxe materials like cashmere, leather, and both real and faux fur. As far as jewelry Zoe has decided to go more for more 'Art Deco-inspired' pieces trimmed with tassels, knots, Swarovski crystals and jade and onyx stones, retailing for about $195. Anyone else excited to see the collection? I love her line already so I'm excited to see more from her! #idie

Moët Rosé & Mosley Tribes Sunglasses

YES, you've heard correctly! Moët & Chandon and Mosley Tribes recently collaborated on a limited edition “Rosé” sunglasses in celebration of a private four-city celebrity-hosted penthouse tour called The Rosé Lounge. The Rosé Lounge offered guests a limited edition of Raynes aviator style “Rosé” sunglasses. They come in a mineral glass photochromic lens that adjusts to indoor and outdoor light (Niceee!). Fashion News: Lady Gaga Will Intern For Phillip Treacy

 Phillip Treacy is known for his wild and "one-of-a kind" hats. With clients including Isabella Blow, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Ralph Lauren, and Princess Beatrice, who recently wore one of his designs at Kate Middleton’s and Prince William’s nuptials earlier this year. He's MAJOR, to say the least! Treacy did an interview with The Observer, in which he commented on lingering rumors that Lady Gaga would be interning for his fashion house.

He stated: "She plans to. She’s already visited me. This is what happened: one Monday morning, four burly bodyguards arrived – Lady Gaga’s security team – to check out the security of the building. I looked at them as if to say: What?! Who is going to take a pot shot at Lady Gaga? Anyway, she is young, talented and peculiar – which I like."

Treacy’s eccentric designs and Lady Gaga's futuristic style is sure to be a twosome to be reckoning with! I'm super excited to see what's next, are you???

Gucci Launches Eco-Friendly Eyewear

Gucci and the Safilo Group (which holds the licenses for Gucci eyewear, as well as frames for Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Yves Saint Laurent, and more) teamed up to put a eco-friendly approach to their eyewear accessories.The two companies are working together to create several new materials for the sunglasses, which (as opposed to traditional plastics) will be produced with significantly lower CO2 emissions. Set to be released in August 2011.

Also, Gucci and Safilo are working to reduce the environmental impact of their packaging by developing a prototype for a material alternative to plastic. Are you ready to go green?
