STEAL OF THE DAY: Forever 21 Premium Beauty Collection

 

Looking for a few essential beauty products that won't break your pockets? Well the ol' faithful Forever21 has a collection worth taking a look at. The Premium Beauty Collection is complete with all the bare essentials that us ladies need to look our very best without having to spend $100's of dollars. MAKE-UP MONDAY: RiRi for MAC

 

Last week, I got wind of such a BEAUTY-ful collaboration that I knew I had to share with you after my birthday hiatus was over (lol). Rihanna celebrated her birthday in Hawaii with family and friends while also letting her stans know via instagram that she would have her very own line of MAC cosmetics. According to the MAC cosmetics agreement the new line would help her creative juices. We here that there will be multiple collections of color cosmetics set to be released this year.

 

The first product to launch will be RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by her favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo. With Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concert set to start pretty soon the new collection will be available on May 4 and 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where there will also be MAC pop-up shop on the first night. Are you excited?! I'm attending her concert in DC in April so I won't be in NY to see the pop-up shop but I'll be at my nearest MAC counter to get my RiRi Woo!

 

 

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC,” said Rihanna in a exclusive interview with WWD. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. Janelle Monae Is The New Face of CoverGirl!

Soulful Musician, Janelle Monae was named the new face of COVERGIRL yesterday! The super beautiful mega-star told Billboard.com, “I believe it’s time that women truly owned their superpowers and used their beauty and strength to change the world around them.”

Additionally, she says “One of my core values is to help redefine what it means to be a strong and beautiful woman in the music and fashion worlds and to empower the wonderful things that make us unique. Becoming a COVERGIRL is truly an honor and a gift: it opens up a new platform for me to inspire women to feel stronger, braver and more beautiful inside and out.” I'm not mad at that, Janelle is a great role model for young women and I'm eager to see more of her!

BEAUTY: Vera Wang Set To Launch 'Simply Vera' Cosmetics With Kohl’s

Seriously, is their anything Vera Wang can't do? From bridal dresses to tuxedos, it seems like the Fashion Designer has done it all...well not exactly. This April the Wang will release a 74-piece makeup collection under her Simply Vera Vera Wang range for Kohl's, which will be the exclusive retailer, Women's Wear Daily reports. The collection will be moderately priced between $16.50 to $39.50, which includes a variety of eye shadow duos and lip colors encased in sleek black packaging, while skincare products like an Illuminating Concealer and Soothing Balm will help "create the perfect canvas," Wang tells Women's Wear Daily. “It completes my Kohl’s universe...Also, a pop of color is such a gorgeous way to let your natural beauty shine through. It’s the ultimate accessory” says Wang. Rumor has it that Wang maybe adding makeup palettes and nail polishes to her collection, but I guess we will just have to wait and see! I'm super excited to see her collection when I visit Kohl's next month, they never disappoint me when it comes to bargains! Happy Shopping Dolls!
