Hello guys and Happy July!! Last night, well super early this morning Rihanna dropped the much anticipated video off her new album "B*tch Better Have My Money also known as BBHMM. The video is one of Rihanna's best videos to date, I loved the concept and creativity. Remind me to never borrow money from Rihanna, lol! WOMAN CRUSH WEDNESDAY: Rihanna at the CFDA Awards

 

Earlier this week my favorite Island girl, Rihanna grabbed the CFDA 2014 Fashion Icon Award looking every bit of glamorous. The Style Icon herself was a vision in this custom made Adam Selman gown, covered head-to-toe in Swarovski crystals (200,000) with a pink fur stole in tow. The "Bad girl" truly took a fashion risk and I gotta admit this is one of my favorite looks on her.

 

 

 

Rihanna paid a huge honor to Josephine Baker, who celebrated her birthday yesterday in this one of a kind dress. Are you obsessed with this look? I can't stop crushin' on her! Kudos to Rihanna for ALWAYS keeping us on our toes and giving people something to talk about. Gotta love her!

"Growing up I didn't have a lot of access to fashion. But as far as I could remember, fashion has always been my defense mechanism. Even as a child I remember thinking, "She can beat me, but she cannot beat my outfit." [Laughter and cheers.] And to this day I mean, that is how I think about it. I can compensate for all my weaknesses with my fashion. And so really, you really can ... I enjoy the most that you can tell so much about who someone is just by their style — the way they put fashion together. And I think fashion has been an outlet for me to express myself, to speak up, to say who I am and to be very loud about it at times, and I just like to have fun with it. Rihanna for Balmain: Spring/Summer 2014

 

Pop singer and Fashion Killa, Rihanna has been tapped by Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing to be the face of Balmain's spring/summer 2014 campaign! The campaign embraces the 80s fashion era to the upmost and captures the Rihanna's edgy side. See a few pictures set be released in magazines in early 2014 below:

BEAUTY NEWS: Rihanna for MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam, January 2014

 

Hellllo MAC Lovers! It's been a little while since I've dropped some beauty news, but no worries I'm back to blogging in full bloom. With a string of successful collections for MAC it was only right that the cosmetics brand tapped Bad Gal, Rihanna to be the spokesperson of their Viva Glam campaign. The sale of products will benefit the MAC AIDS FUND to fight for HIV/AIDS. Check out the exclusive picture of the Viva Glam lipstick & lipglass below.   

 

The Viva Glam collection is said to be arriving early 2014, January to be exact so be sure to stay tuned to more information that will be released soon!! Stay beautiful people :)

BEAUTY FILES: RiRiheartMAC (Fall 2013 Collection)

 

Rihanna is showing no signs of slowing down these days, from going back on tour to launching another clothing collection with River Island she is also doing another collaboration with  MAC Cosmetics. Rihanna's Fall collection with MAC is appropriately titled "RiRiheartMAC" and is set to launch October 3rd online only. The collection is said to feature her signature RiRi Woo color lip glosses and matte lipsticks, bronzer, eyeshadow palette, eyelashes and mascara. You can expect to drop $16.50 to $44 for the collection. After releasing the official ad picture on instagram, I did some hunting and found some exclusive photos from the collection below:

Rihanna for River Island Fall 2013 Campaign

 

Rihanna has been working overtime with her latest collaboration with the River Island Fall 2013 campaign lately! The shoot was photographed by Lachlan Bailey & styled by Mel Ottenberg. Inspiration? The collection is said to be inspired by "street style with bold strips, camouflage prints, varsity shirts and jackets" according to BID. MAC ALERT: Rihanna's "RiRi Hearts Summer" Collection (June 20th)

 

The baddest superstar, Rihanna also known as 'Ri Ri Woo' is definitely making her mark in the beauty industry as she is set to release her second MAC collaboration. After the Brooklyn debut of the RiRi Woo lipstick last month, and selling out in 2 hours it's only right that she's back with more!

Here is the full collection that you've been waiting for, set to launch on June 18th (save-the-date and set your clocks). The RiRi Woo, Heaux and RiRi Boy lipsticks are accompanied with the Hibiscus Kiss blusher and the Barbados Girl Lustre Drops highlighter. How great is this collection?! Me likey alot. I had the most EPIC time yesterday at the Rihanna concert. I knew I had to bring out my "Bad Gal" outfit for the occasion so I decided to show a little skin ; )

She Gets Them Custom...You A Customer: Rihanna's Givenchy Tour Wardrobe

 

It's no secret that our Bad Gal, Rihanna loves her some custom Givenchy apparel just a a few weeks ago the singer got herself a custom made shirt with her picture on it from Riccardo Tisci himself as a birthday gift. Sweet! So you know that it's only appropiate that the designer customized a few pieces for her Diamonds World Tour that kicked off in New York over the weekend.

 

"According to WWD, we can expect to see a ruffled cape paired with thigh high white leather boots, a parka with a "gold bullet motif," and mini-shorts/leather bra ensembles. Everything is accessorized with lots of gold, including "couture goggles." Givenchy calls the costumes “a symbol of female empowerment and urban haute couture elegance." - via Fashionista.com

How amazing are these sketches?! Rihanna always hits the mark for me when it comes to fashion so I'm excited to see her when she makes her way to Washington, D.C. next month! Designer, Riccardo Tisci also says "Rihanna represents what young and amazing means today. She is punk and talented. She offers intelligence, energy and pure beauty. Bad Girl, Rihanna shot three covers for Elle UK April 2013 issue! Rihanna is sporting her pixie hair cut, fiery red lips and rocking Louis Vuitton and pieces from her new collection River Island. She was photographed by Mariano Vivanco and I must say that she is killing all three covers.

MAKE-UP MONDAY: RiRi for MAC

 

Last week, I got wind of such a BEAUTY-ful collaboration that I knew I had to share with you after my birthday hiatus was over (lol). Rihanna celebrated her birthday in Hawaii with family and friends while also letting her stans know via instagram that she would have her very own line of MAC cosmetics. According to the MAC cosmetics agreement the new line would help her creative juices. We here that there will be multiple collections of color cosmetics set to be released this year.

 

The first product to launch will be RiRi Woo, a lipstick inspired by her favorite MAC red, Ruby Woo. With Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour concert set to start pretty soon the new collection will be available on May 4 and 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where there will also be MAC pop-up shop on the first night. Are you excited?! I'm attending her concert in DC in April so I won't be in NY to see the pop-up shop but I'll be at my nearest MAC counter to get my RiRi Woo!

 

 

“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC,” said Rihanna in a exclusive interview with WWD. “Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

Hi Rihanna! Famed Photog Terry Richardson and Bad Gal, Rihanna shared new photos from their photo-shoot and dare I say she KILLS it every time. She's a natural beauty even with a *ahem* in her hand. With her tour kicking off in a few short weeks she was recently spotted on set shooting her next single, STAY. I'm totally in love with her latest tattoo, can you see it? It's Nefertiti ...dope!

Our Bad Gal of them all, Rihanna is more than ready to show you what she's been working on! The Pop Star/Perfumista/Fashion Icon and Fashion Designer has collaborated with British high street brand River Island. According to WWD, Rihanna will be launching the collection at London Fashion Week, the collection is made of up clothing and accessories! I'm totally excited to see what Rihanna has worked on, we all know her style is nothing short of SICK. The collection will be available to purchase online and in store on March 5th. If you're an American like myself, you can get your River Island clothing and accessories at Opening Ceremony. Happy Shopping Ladies!
