A Walk For The Cure: Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness

Last Sunday, I attended the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-day Walk closing ceremony and I'm glad I decided to step out the house to support a friend that walked 60 miles. The weather was nothing short of AMAZING and did I mention it was 10-10-10? Which means "Completion" and indeed it was a mission accomplished. Thousands of Walkers marched to the Monument as they have been walking to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer. After much cheering the anticipation that it was finally over, then commenced a very tearful ceremony where many watched, cried, laughed and joined forces to acknowledging a disease that is taking over our world. I must say that this was a beautiful day to see people near and far participate in a great cause for a common goal!

Camera crews and the 'Georgetown Cupcake' ladies were filming while they created a massive pink bra with tiny cupcakes and cake icing in support of the Susan G. Komen.
They filled the custom made bra with beautiful flowers! You had to be there ; )

After 3 days..60 miles...Navi comes out smiling! Congrats Navi!

A great support system is definitely ALL you need sometimes

In honor of October being "Breast Cancer Awareness" Month I decided rock PINK
from nail to toe! Literally...
