Bethesda Central Farm Market is Open
April 10, 2011

• Weekly Maryland wine showcase offering samples and bottles to purchase.
This year’s lineup includes some of the best producers in the Mid-Atlantic. Farmers from the Northern Neck of Virginia to Pennsylvania will offer a selection of organic and naturally grown produce. Beef, pork, lamb, poultry and eggs will come from farms in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, while fresh flowers will be Virginia-grown. The market will also feature bread and baked goods, a vast selection of artisan cheese, freshly roasted coffee, sausage, salami, boutique olive oil from California, pickles, and prepared foods.
• Monthly Kids’ Club with activities for children.
• Strawberry Month celebration on May 15 featuring a strawberry recipe contest.
• Guest artists who create art inspired by food.
New vendors to the market include Sababa Market, which will provide freshly made falafel sandwiches; Les Caprice de Joelle, offering Belgian waffles and other treats; The Bread Oven at Quail Creek, providing specialty breads and baked goods; and Cavanna Pasta, featuring a selection of freshly made noodles and stuffed pastas.
