On Saturday, August 7th, 2010, Amy McNish CEO of Image Consulting & Designs by Amy, Image Consulting firm will premiere The 2nd Annual Green & Gorgeous Fashion Show Featuring an Evening of Pink Sensation. This Fashion Show is a Charity Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness; all proceeds will benefit private Breast Cancer organizations in the Metro area.

Rihanna Takes a break from Sexy

A fashion magazine junkie at heart I was uber excited as I browse the racks at the airport magazine shop. The very first magazine that caught my eye was the cover of Seventeen Magazine. No it wasn't the bright colors or the catchy article titles but it was the GORGEOUS picture of Rihanna on the cover that made me say OH MY GOSH!!! With her bright greenish eyes, beautiful smile and colorful braided necklaces, it was good to see her taking a break from the sexy seductive photoshoots and see the fun spunky side of the young singer. Besides the cute Chanel gloves and white net dress by Topshop she sported, the thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that she actually truly looked HAPPY. Photo after photo she gleamed and looked as if she was in a much happier place than before. In the interview she discusses Chris Brown, her tattoos, her love life, her relationship with her best friend and her journey/transformation to becoming a woman. Tommy Hilfiger's Fashionable Lifestyle!

Harper's Bazaar got the chance to capture the fashionable lifestyle of Tommy and his wife Dee Hilfiger as they recently decorated their beautiful home at the Plaza in New York. The decor is impeccable and the fashion is American infused with Tommy Hilfiger's written all over it. Forever 21 finally in Washington, DC!

According to NBC Washington:

In March, West Elm vacated the Woodward and Lothrop building, opening a spot for our favorite spot for trendy bargains. Don't Sweat the SMALL Stuff!

Lately, I've been choosing to just keep focusing on my dreams instead of focusing on the "small stuff" that use bother me. By "small stuff" I mean the usual u-turns in life, detours along the path to success and the occasional wrong turns. My philosophy is that "it happens to the best of us", I'm working on building a fabulous brand AND I refuse to loose! My advice to all aspiring Stylists is to stay positive and surround yourself with people who motivate you to be an better individual. Below are a few tips to Stay COOL, CALM & COLLECTIVE so you won't sweat the "small stuff":

• Stay organized in your social, personal and professional life!
• Take time to "smell the flowers", in other words treat/pamper yourself from time to time.
• Research, research, research! Never stop researching your passion because there is so much to know about ways to be better in whatever you choose to do.
• Write out your goals! Create a mini check list of your goals/tasks you want to accomplish Note to Self: "Seeing is Believing"
• Surround yourself with like minded individuals
• Don't be too hard on yourself, it takes time and alot of hard work to be successful. Keep PUSHING!
• Never forget you are your BEST advertisement! Show up and Show out..
• Be prepared = Business cards, Resumes, Cover Letters, Portfolios, Blogs, Websites, etc.
• Last but not least always PRAY "Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge" Proverbs 23:12
