Mark Your Calendar: DC Fashion Week Sept 20-26

DC Fashion Week is a week long event that highlights fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling as well as enhances the visibility of the nation’s capital as a center of international fashion. DC Fashion Week produces runway events twice a year (February/September) at multiple venues throughout Washington, DC.

DC Fashion Week will put a spotlight on the influence of world cultures on American fashion, prove fashion can be done with ecology and fair trade in mind, present an exclusive men’s fashion show, and cap the week with a mesmerizing International Couture Collection at the French Embassy.


JULY 1, 2010: MODEL REGISTRATION BEGINS

AUGUST 1, 2010: VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION BEGINS

AUGUST 8, 2010: DC FASHION WEEK AUDITIONS at the Crystal City Doubletree Hotel at 1PM

SEPTEMBER 20, 2010: WASHINGTON BRIDAL COLLECTIONS at the Textile Museum (RSVP Required)

SEPTEMBER 21, 2010: TBD

SEPTEMBER 22, 2010: INDIVIDUAL DESIGNER PRESENTATION (By Invitation Only)

SEPTEMBER 23, 2010: FASHION INDUSTRY NETWORKING PARTY

SEPTEMBER 24, 2010: TBD

SEPTEMBER 25, 2010: WASHINGTON MENSWEAR COLLECTIONS (Spring/Summer 2011) at the Crystal City Doubletree Hotel

SEPTEMBER 26, 2010: INTERNATIONAL COUTURE COLLECTIONS (Spring/Summer 2011) at the Embassy of France (6 PM)
