About two weeks ago, I attended the Dresses for Dreams event and I'm happy to let you know that the Family Matters of Greater Washington is STILL accepting prom dress and accessories for donation! Family Matter of DC (turns 130 this year!) is doing dresses for dreams "to help teenage ladies from low income families attend their prom with self confidence and style" and they could really use some help from you! They are also hoping to collect some volunteered time from those talented at hair and makeup, could that be you? If you have any prom related skills (hair, makeup, nail genius, jewelry maker, etc) and you are interested in volunteering your time please, contact Masada Johnson at 202 289 1510 ext. 1327 or mjohnson@familymattersdc.org. Give a girl a fabulous dress (that you'll probably never wear again) or accessories to make her prom night memorable and mostly, unforgettable!
