ROCK IT OR KNOCK IT: Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Cruel Summer’ Shoe for Kanye West

It looks like Giuseppe Zanotti is at it again for for Kanye West, this collaboration is for the launch of G.O.O.D. Music‘s Cruel Summer.  Which I'm addicted to and can't stop telling my friends how much they need this album in their lives. The porcelain wreath/Grecian statue elements pays homage to creative artwork on the cover of the album (see below).

Kudos to Mr. West as this is the second collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti, the first debuted at Paris Fashion Week Spring 2012. Although there is limited information on launch date or price, I'm sure his other girlfriend and muse, Kim Kardashian will be wearing these soon. Stay tuned!

The next episode of Glee (which airs tonight) welcomes the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw Sarah Jessica Parker as she plays the editor of Vogue.com. In a exclusive clip from none other than VOGUE.com, Kurt (Chris Colfer) is interviewed for an internship by Isabelle Wright (SJP). We hear that Vogue helped our SJP with the fashionable wardrobe, you'll see designs by Prabal Gurung, Altuzarra, Belstaff, and Fendi. Did you spot the Prada bag?! I had a slight flashback to the "Devil Wears Prada" moment. Although the clip is short....doesn't it make you miss Sex And The City?

How uber cute is Blue Ivy?! She's the luckiest girl in the world....and guess what? She doesn't even know it yet. The stylish tot has her parents Jay Z and Beyonce to thank for her super stardom and of course her sense of style. Earlier this we spied shoe designer Ruthie Davis posted a photo of these custom made sneakers on facebook. of a tiny pair of pink suede sneakers embellished with pastel rhinestones. How cute are they? She then commented:

 

Pssssst! Take a look at the Baby Ruthie's I made especially for Beyonce and Jay-Z's daughter Blue Ivy... SO Sweet, right?

FASHION NEWS: Condé Nast has named its First Black Editor-in-Chief, Keija Minor for Brides Magazine

Congrats to Keija Minor for a remarkable and ground breaking achievement! Earlier this week, Huffington Post announced that Kieja would head up Condé Nast Publications (CNP) magazine, Brides. She is the first black Editor-In-Chief in CNP history! This is a MAJOR deal as CNP has owned and produced 18 magazines including Vogue, Glamour, Vanity Fair and GQ, since 1909.You do the math....if you're a little delayed with the subtraction/addition, that's 103 years that no black or woman of color has been editor has ever been named Editor-In-Chief. Congrats to Keija, I'm proud!

Happy Friday: Brush Your Shoulders Off..

 

How dope is this picture?! YES, that's our POTUS (President Of The United States) dusting his shoulders off with the power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce earlier this week at a special dinner held at the 40/40 club. The Carters raised $4 million for the Obama campaign, how amazing is that? I couldn't have found a better picture for my "Happy Friday/Cheers to the Weekend" post.

Solange Dishes on Natural Hair & Fashion to Lurve Magazine

 

Solange tells it all the Lurve Magazine in their most recent issue. I've always admired Solange's honesty and "tell it how it is" personality. Below are photo's from the interview as well some quotes about her natural hair-do and of course her fashion sense!

 

On Natural Hair:

"I’m actually really trying to navigate my feelings on the entire hair issue and it’s tough doing that publicly." - Solange

 

After a twitter rant a few months ago about her natural tresses being "un-kept" she says, "At that point I thought to myself, ‘This is really crazy. That these people know more about my hair than the human that even carries it!’ I went to my Twitter and sort of impulsively expressed that. I don’t regret it one bit, but sometimes trying to put how you feel in an one-hundred forty character structure is not really successful."

 

Former Carol's Daughter spokesperson (Solange ended her partnership) says that she was, "constantly fighting for the right message to be heard. The message that the way we wear our hair is a personal choice, there’s no right or wrong way."

 

On Fashion:

When asked about fashion she says, "never really been that interested in fashion."

 

She also says, "Once I really defined my expectations in terms of how to navigate through the fashion world without getting myself too invested, I’ve had a hell of a lot of fun."
