WHAT I WORE: When In Doubt, Fade to Black

Happy Wednesday!!!

I feel like this has been the longest week ever but it's only Wednesday...I need another vacay, lol! Anyway, over the weekend I faded to black from head to toe....literally. My friend darkened my hair and I'm totally loving my locks a little more now. I'm also super obsessed with black tops, pants, skirts and dresses especially leather anything this season because it's always appropriate for any occasion, when in doubt fade to black, you can NEVER go wrong! Friday night I spent some time with one of my closest friends and decided to throw on my leather since it was freezing out, of course I had to jazz it up with my new headband (don't mind my crop leather---*summer time sadness*). Fab-Mommy x 3 (Yes, she's pregger again) nailed it in this super fabulous Ferragamo dress. Gotta love Gwen Stefani, she's always been a fashion killa.

Anyone who knows me, KNOWS how much gold I like! I wear my gold rings and bracelets all the time so it's only fitting that I have a huge crush on these So Kate Speechio Pumps by Christian Louboutin, I mean have you seen them? My first pair of gold heels were Jimmy Choo and as much as I love them, I want another pair with a higher heel so this is totally PERFECT for me. TRENDSPOTTING TUESDAY: Reversible Denim Jeans!

Any denim fans out there?! Well the trend of denim-on-denim is far from over, yes you heard it here first so keep those denim shirts in the closet and bring out those denim jeans as well. A far more trendy and economical trend is underway and I'll be the first to tell you that I'm in love with it. The reversible denim jeans are here for the Fall/Winter.

I first spotted this trend over the summer in Target and was blown away that I could get double the usage out of my jeans so when I went to LA last week and found myself in the Kardashian's store Dash on Melrose and I gravitated to the Bleulab Reversible Collection! I tried on two pairs of the denim jeans but just wasn't willing to pay $200 for a pair at the moment, maybe next month. Jean shopping is exhausting, I hate trying on clothes...but when it comes to jeans I put my pride aside and go to the dressing room. First Comes The Baby, Second Comes The RING: Kim & Kanye Are Engaged!

 

With the Yeezus tour in full swing, the man who refers to himself as a "God" got down on his knee to propose to his "Baby Momma" (his words, not mine..lol) and girlfriend of 2 years Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday. According to E! Kanye rented out the San Francisco's AT&T Park for a special proposal to his girlfriend complete with "fireworks and roman candles" accompanied with a 50-piece orchestra playing Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" & Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye's "Knock You Down." 

 

 

Meanwhile on the jumbo screen the rapper said...."PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!"

 

 

Deets on the ring?? Wait for it.....A super beautiful 15-carat diamond ring by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz also friends of the Kardashians. Congrats to the happy couple!!!

WHAT I WORE: Los Angeles Street Chic

 

After a great weekend in San Diego, I made my way to my absolute favorite place in the world...LOS ANGELES! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love California so I had to get my full experience since I spent most of my time in San Diego. The first stop was to popular and famed IN-N-OUT Burger for a quick bite to eat after a 2 hour drive.

 

You know I had to jazz up this $6 combo meal with some champagne...I know I know, I'm too much! LOL. Just know that Beyoncé did it first and I did it second ; )

My first night out in LA was sooo much fun! One of my BFFs live there so getting a chance to hang with him & other friends is always a good time.

My second night out was full of handsomeness (I know that's not a word but...lol). I got to dine a super cute restaurant then parlay in this really chic backyard garden area with my college friend/ex-roomie. The weather was PERFECT & of course with a cocktail and great company I was a very happy girl. Always good seeing old friends!!

I HATE flying but since I like to travel I know that it's necessary so I suck it up and act like a big girl lol. I mask my fear of flying by putting on some heels & a fierce lip as if I'll be meeting my girls or my future husband for a casual cocktail after I get off of the plane, corny I know but it works for me. I was always told by my parents to dress up when it comes to travelling (I get it from my mamma) as you never know where you would be going right after you get off the plane or who you may see. I'm all about travelling in style especially when going to international airports and especially because a SINGLE girl can never tell who she may run into..so my advice to women is to dress up a little (be comfortable of course) as you never know who may be watching or where your fabulous outfit will take you....Take it from me, the airport is the great place to meet people :)

WHAT I WORE: Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?

I'm bacccccck from a very much needed vacay to my favorite coast, the west coast that it is! After being furloughed two weeks ago, I definitely needed a little time away from the city so the timing was PERFECT. I spent Columbus weekend in San Diego with my girlfriends before making my way to Los Angeles. I haven't been to San Diego in years, so I was super happy to explore this beautiful city. We took a ferry to Coronado Island to eat, drink and just be....Check out my weekend below:

As usual my Sunday tradition of brunch was in full effect! Me & the girls dined outside at Cafe Chloe in the Gaslamp District....my meal wasn't the greatest but the Pomegranate Mimosa was amazinnn.  

 

 

Before we left San Diego, we wanted to see the beach one more time before heading back to LA. It's something about the ocean that calms me and makes me feel at peace, I guess it's the Aquarius in me..
